Fuel retail profit protection

Know every litre. Grow every rand.

Know where every litre goes, where every rand goes, and where your next profit opportunity lies. LitreIQ watches your forecourt, card money and shop around the clock, and only interrupts you when money is at risk.

Sound familiar?

Your station leaks money in places nobody is watching.

Margins on fuel are fixed. Every rand that slips through a pump, a card batch or a shift is profit you cannot price back in.

Theft and unexplained losses

Tank movement that does not match sales, short deliveries and pumps that drift. You find out at month-end, if at all.

Card money stuck

Card batches that never settle, fleet amounts not claimed, terminals billed that are not installed.

Fleet declines

Fleet cards declined for days and the account customer quietly fills up down the road.

Contractors on 40-day clocks

A pump down for six weeks is litres you never sell. Nobody is tracking the clock but you.

Compliance gaps

Medicals, OHS appointments and labour paperwork that expire without anyone noticing, until an inspection.

Not seeing the station remotely

You are not on site every shift. Fifteen reports and a WhatsApp group do not tell you where the money went.

Where your margin goes, per litre of petrol

Illustrative model
Your regulated margin: R3.20 a litre Card fees: about 26c (about 8% of the margin)
Margin: Central Energy Fund, petrol retail margin 320.0 c/l from 7 October 2026. Card fees: LitreIQ model using FRA 2022 fee rates (credit about 1.75%, debit about 0.65%) at R30/L, 80% card share and 40% credit mix; your mix will differ. The FRA puts the figure dealers absorb at about 44c a litre (MyBroadband, November 2024), so this model is conservative.
Autonomous and exception-based

We don't give you more graphs.

LitreIQ checks every litre and every rand in the background. When something does not add up, you get one clear message on your phone, with the Rand amount and what to do next. When everything adds up, you hear nothing.

  • Alerts only for leaks and risks, ranked by Rand at risk
  • A short morning brief with the day's top exceptions
  • Innocent causes checked first: temperature, timing, calibration, refunds
  • Discrepancies start an investigation, never an accusation

Sample alerts for illustration.

At most four exceptions, ranked by Rand at risk, each one already a case with an owner. Everything else is balanced, so it stays out of your way.

How a case works

Every alert opens a case. Every case ends with a fix.

The case holds the source data, how sure we are, the Rand exposure, the likely causes, the steps to fix it, who owns it and the saving once it is resolved.

  1. Your reports arriveBack office, card machines, bank and shop, automatically.
  2. We check every randFixed rules, not guesses. Temperature and timing first.
  3. Only real leaks alert youA push message with the number first.
  4. A case opensSource data, likely causes, who fixes it.
  5. Step-by-step fixA checklist on the manager's phone.
  6. We re-checkNew data proves it is fixed.
  7. Verified savingCounted only when proven.
Example case (sample data)

Pump 4 over-dispensed by 1.2 L on the last three vehicles

Confidence: high. Exposure: about R110 a day if it continues.

  1. Rule out timingCheck that no sale was voided and re-rung on pump 4 in the last hour.
  2. Rule out temperatureLitreIQ compares tank temperature: no unusual change today.
  3. Test the pumpAsk the site manager for a 20 L test measure on nozzle 4 and capture the result.
  4. Call the contractorIf it is out of tolerance, LitreIQ drafts the call-out and starts the clock.

What you see in every case

  • The source data behind the alert, side by side
  • A confidence level, so you know how hard to push
  • The Rand exposure: what it costs today and if it continues
  • Likely causes, including the innocent ones: temperature, calibration, timing, water ingress, sensor error, a legitimate refund
  • A step-by-step fix in plain language
  • One owner, with a due date
  • Resolution history and the verified saving

Amounts are calculated by fixed, auditable rules. AI helps explain and prioritise; it never invents a number.

LitreIQ Comply

Compliance that does not wait for the inspector.

Medicals, OHS appointments, inspections and labour compliance in one place, with expiry warnings before anything lapses. Staff medicals, OHS and labour compliance are delivered by our compliance partner Therapy On The Go. For sites that serve fleets, Road Wellness supports your fleet customers' driver wellness.

How Comply works
Built on a real forecourt

Samwell On The Go: where LitreIQ learnt the trade.

LitreIQ was not designed in a boardroom. It grew out of a working forecourt in Lenyenye, Limpopo, where our own convenience shop, Samwell On The Go, trades. We lived every pain on this page: card batches that did not settle, fleet declines, pumps waiting weeks for a contractor and month-ends spent on spreadsheets.

At our pilot site LitreIQ reconciled R408,894.95 in card sales across 905 transactions in 6 days, matched to the bank every day.

Questions

What owners ask us first.

Where is my data kept?
In South Africa. LitreIQ runs on our own infrastructure in Cape Town (AWS af-south-1). Your connection details, synced data and logs do not leave the country.
How does LitreIQ handle POPIA?
You remain the responsible party for your business data. LitreIQ (Blue Oceans Approach (Pty) Ltd) acts as your operator under a written operator agreement, keeps consent and access records, and applies stricter defaults to sensitive information such as health and payroll records.
Do you handle my payments or card numbers?
No. LitreIQ never processes payments, never routes money and never holds card numbers. We read the reports and files you already receive, and only masked card digits where a report includes them.
Does it work with my oil company systems?
Yes, alongside them. LitreIQ reads your own copies of the reports your back office, card provider and bank already send you. It is read-only: it never changes your pump, tank, till or terminal settings, and it is brand-agnostic across forecourt brands.
Will it accuse my staff of theft?
No. A discrepancy opens an investigation, never an accusation. Every case lists innocent causes first (temperature, calibration, timing, water ingress, sensor error, a legitimate refund) and shows the evidence so you can decide fairly.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
Nothing happens automatically. We remind you on days 10, 13 and 14. If you want to continue, you pay by invoice link. If not, the trial simply ends. You can cancel any time.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Plans are month-to-month with 30 days notice and no long-term lock-in. During the trial you can cancel any time in one click. On request we export your data (CSV and PDF) and then delete it within 30 days. Annual prepay is optional.
How long does it take to go live?
Most sites start seeing their first daily brief within a day of sending their reports. Our support team helps you connect remotely or on site.
